We have been asked for our state charter from an attorney that is working on something for us. We're not sure if they want the certificates for each branch or if there is a document called "State Charter" that is several pages long. Can anyone tell me what the state charter looks like?

Doubt that the attorney is looking for branch certs. I cannot remember if PA provides a certificate to a bank or if they just stamp the charter application as being approved. The attorney may be looking for evidence of official registration. However, the attorney may also be looking for the articles of incorporation and/or bylaws that must be submitted with the charter application. I suggest asking for clarification.
