Dirty Nelly's on the riverwalk, it's an irish piano bar and one of my favorite places in the world. I'm going in September for our annual visit. We spend almost our whole time in SA on the Riverwalk and if the kids are with us at six flags. There's one diner that was pretty wierd that we went too, I'm gonna have to try to think up the name, it was like a kid friendly Dick's.

Oh, and you can walk to the alamo from there and take a few pictures.

Do you have kids that your taking with you? There's Splash town, schliterbon (sp) (buy your tickets on line). There's a cool zoo where you can drive in and the animals come right up to your car so you can feed them, that's pretty cool. Make sure you check your brochures at the hotel, they often have coupons.

For food, my favorite is the italian restaraunt at the riverwalk, but for mexican there's a place called fluffy taco, sounds stupid but a friend of mine says it's awesome, and then there's a place called Miteria's (sp) at the Market.

What do you like to eat and what do you want to do for fun. I live in SA(even though MunQue is a regular visitor) and you can pm what you are interested in doing and I will find it out for you!

middle of the country
We were there over the 4th of July and loved it!! Did the Safare Park where the you drive through and the animals can come up to your car to be fed. Word of warning, be careful feeding ostriges (spelling?? It's late in the day) they stick their head right in your car window and those beaks hurt - blush Not that I tried or anything grin

Loved, loved the River Walk and if you can't find a good place to eat there you are too picky. The Alamo is cool to visit and take the bus ride around the city but early enough in the day that you can get off and on to see the missions etc. We did it last thing in the day and could not really see much since we couldn't get off.

Have fun!
