I'm not telling!! OK, I'm kidding. The location of Survivor 9 - and remember, you heard it here first - should be Fiji.

This is somewhat subject to change, depending on if MB gets mad about a leak and moves it, as happened to Mexico for S7, but I have it on pretty good authority that Fiji it is. Should be lovely. I expect filming will begin sometime pretty soon, I should try to get the dates on that. As always, I'll keep you posted!

I'm sure you already know this, but Survivor All Stars is being filmed in the Pearl Islands. I guess it was announced 1/12/04 on some morning show. Also, I read it on the MSNBC website

Um, yeah, we've known that for a long time. And it's not BEING filmed, it WAS filmed - filming ended in early December. But thanks anyway. If you look back to the beginning of this thread, we've also got the cast list (before the 01/12 announcement.)

We had survivor auditions here last week and if I recall it correctly, they stated it would be in Fiji.

Dawnie would have loved it..the guy that had his picture in the paper was dressed all in duct tape, a halter top and skirt ...I guess trying to be Rupert...OUCH!

The current issue of the Enquirer (my teenage daughter had to have it because of the Friends story) has a picture of the cast. Very interesting to see everyone again.

I've started seeing regular ads on TV for it now, too. Can't wait!!! BTW, current speculation is that Ethan is the first boot, but I personally find that one hard to believe. I'm leaning towards Rob C. Will keep you posted.

I agree with you! Hope Ethan stays for awhile. Rob C. irked me the first time around. I would vote him out if they left it to me!

While rob C was sneaky i always found him funny, like he never really let the game get to him, plus his open puppy love of jenna and heidi was funny... I wonder if jenna could make it that far again, i mean she was a fly under the radar kind of a girl, i don't see how any of them can get away with that now.

Jenna M will be going home early - her mom died during the show. Look for her to leave around Ep 8 or so. BTW, did you know she and Ethan are a couple?

Read an interview with Jeff P yesterday that talked about they didn't really even have to do that much plotting this time - the contestants did it to themselves. One of the pitfalls of having played this game before, I suppose.

The latest word I read has Tina has the first boot. And a lot of the big names--Richard and Rob C. among them--as pre-merge eliminations. And Rob M. and Lamber as F2. Of course, I'm getting this as a third-hand recap of someone else's assessment of the spoiler site data.

Jeff Probst was on Atlanta radio this morning and said the first challenge will be "Quest for Fire". He also indicates that Rudy has the heart for this game and we should all hope be in as good a shape as Rudy is at 75. He said Rupert has some advantage in staying in the Pearl Islands as he has knowledge of the tides and the fishing conditions there. The show will air after the Superbowl game-no matter what time that will be.
