Pulling people out of the ditc...
in discussing the loss of revenue banks will suffer with the new interchange rules and how many banks will now eliminate free checking to make up lost income...

"Americans are about to get socked."

He actually criticizes banks for the nerve of planning to eliminate free checking accounts. You think this is an indication of how little members of Congress understand a free market economy? Or how little they realize that knee-jerk reaction laws they pass impact people, industry, business, etc?

Complete disconnect. It's as if these commissars think that whatever they order will be accomplished with no thought to the required return on invested capital.

I foresee a new law that requires banks to provide a basic, free checking account. They will show us evil bankers who is in charge and keep reminding us until we get with the program.

One that comes with a standard $500 line of overdraft coverage, that we cannot charge the customer for using? cool

BoBo, of course free OD coverage should be a right! It's just so embarassing to be rejected when you try to buy something and don't have the money to pay for it (gov't excluded).

Actually, New Jersey mandated such a product a number of years ago, for NJ banking institutions.

Yeah, we're number one!

And don't forget, Chuckie opened his cavernous mouth regarding IndyMac which started the ball rolling on all that mess. Nice to know he is so informed about banking, and everything else!

Not sure, I will look for it tonight.

My favorite was the one with the girl from ER, and it had Will Ferrel in it (played the dad). She goes to dinner at the BFs house (same guy who was the spokes man in the "stuff" skit) and finds out he has a no saliva, and his dad (Ferrel) chews his food for him then feeds him "like a bird." OMG!!!!

The BFs little brother comes home and has an apple pie from McD's and ask the GF to "feed him". So she does...TOO funny..and gross.
