IMHO, Amber is the one who has not been playing the game. She has been coasting on Rob's coattails from the beginning. I hope Rupert wins, but if you think about who "outlasted, outwitted and outplayed" everyone, I think Rob should be the winner. I can't wait until Sunday night.

If it is Amber/Jenna, who do you think will take it?

I think there should be "Anger Management" for those folks on the jury. I have never seen such animosity before! I think people are losing sight over the object of the game and not to mention the fact that the "booted" players seem to forget how many times they lied, switched directions, manipulated other players, etc... They are so angry that it happened to them and that they fell for it.

Anyway, I still hope Rob wins the whole deal. He has played this game harder than anyone yet.

If by play the game you mean lie, be lazy and let others work for you so that you are fresh for the challenges, and sleep around with another contestant in order to get her vote the entire time, then yes, Rob has played the game harder.

If by making alliances, doing his share and more to make himself valuable to the tribe so that he isn't kicked, and being a good human being who is loyal to his family you mean playing the game, then Rupert should be winning.

Playing the game doesn't REQUIRE making an ass of yourself, hurting your friends, and being a total control freak and fake. There are more ways to play and win. Remember, a large part of the game is the jury. If the guys on the jury need "anger management" then Rob hasn't played very well now has he?

I agree Mack, I was getting so irritated with the looks on the jurys' faces last night. They were utterly disgusted but they're only bitter because they're on the jury and not still in the game.

Or perhaps they really don't like the way Rob is playing the game to hurt people. I don't really think they are only bitter because they aren't still in the game, but because of the WAY they were removed.

I guess it's all in the definition of the motto of the game: "outlast, outwit, outplay". Rob has certainly outlasted everyone, he has outwitted them - even though he hasn't played all that nicely, and he has outplayed them in nearly every challenge. Nothing in the motto says anyone has to be nice while they do all that.

Personally, I think everyone has been pretty blind not to see that all of his conniving was hurting everyone. I do think it was bad form to cuddle up to another player, but that's his issue (besides - after a week or two of no toothbrushes who would WANT to?). He should've been booted a long time ago, but no one would listen to anyone who saw it. Amber isn't playing the game - she's hiding behind Rob. Rupert has outlasted and outplayed in many areas, but I wouldn't say he's outwitted. Jenna's right in there except for her whining a bit, so I think it should be close between her and Rob.

Sunday will be ve-r-r-r-y interesting....

When Survivor first was created, there were no rules of engagement...they did not state that the one who "loves thy neighbors" is going to win this game.

It is to Outwit - which Rob has done by masterminding these ficticious "aliances".

It is to Outlast - well, he is still there and they are not.

It is to Outplay - He built these people a freakin' place to live! He has caught fish. He wins immunity challenges or was a HUGE contributing factor to the team winning immunity. Remember that? They loved him then didn't they? When it wasn't such an individualized basis, they loved to have Rob on their team because HE got THEM farther.

Okay, having said that...has he ever told a lie? Yep, you bet. Did Lex ever tell a lie or did Kathy every tell a lie, Yep, you bet they did! So, just remember that none of these folks are saints. They want to win a million dollars so once they get home life will be a little bit better.

I also agree that Rob has "played the game" better than the rest of them. And the jury is definitely getting on my nerves with their faces, etc. I'm sure they are disappointed, but what did they expect? There's only one winner! And it's not the Rob stuff, but when Amber made the comment about smelling the money the rolled there eyes. Well of course she can! She's made it to the final four!
I think this is problem with doing an All-Star is they all expected to come there and win and that just can't happen.

I'm excited that Rupert made it to the final 4! I think he worked the hardest although he did seam to cower before Rob last night when Rob caught Jenna and Rupert talking over the coconuts.

I'd love to see Rupert win.

THAT'S going to be close. Amber could be accused of riding Rob's coattails the whole way and not playing for herself; Jenna has apparently rubbed people the wrong way by being a bit whiny. I would like it to be Jenna but I have a feeling it would be Amber.

What I was thinking last night would be BRILLIANT is if Amber wins final immunity, dumps Rob, takes Jenna to F2, and tells the jury she's the trickiest of them all because she strung Rob along and made him do all the dirty work while she sat back and master minded the whole thing.

Do I actually think she's done this? No. But I bet she would win using that strategy. And then she and Rob could get back together (which would fit the info that she IS still with him.) Now THAT would be a show to watch!

So, if Rupert wins immunity next, then the remaining four vote one off; and from the remaining three would it be Rupert who chooses who comes with him as the two left? Who do you (Rupert) pick? The one you wish could win the money if it's not you; or your worst enemy and hope the jury sees it your way? Do I have the next elimination right??

Mac and GT - my senitments exactly! I like Rupert but Rob deserves to win this! I hate watching the jury and their disgusted looks - maybe they should wear big "L"s on their foreheads because that's how they're acting. Of course, we have to remember that we're at the discretion of the editors - who knows what their reaction really was when comments were made about "smelling the money". Although, the old eye roll fit ShiiAnn to a tee.

ExGovtBabe,

What is the payoff for coming in second, third or forth?

Just wondering if they bumped it up for the All Stars.

Thanks,

Michelle III

Well except that Rupert 99.9% does NOT win immunity....... It's the age-old Survivor conundrum - do you take the person you would feel honorable choosing and losing to (Colby vs Tina, Lill vs Sandra)? Or the person you think you can beat (Brian vs Clay)?

Had to go back and do some research on that one! From what I remember (and could find) they DID bump up the money for the other players but held the winners prize at $1MM. Ordinarily the 2nd place person gets $100M, I would think they'll get a decent amount more than that this time around. I think MB said at one point the total pool is $5MM and I know the first person booted got $25M, so it would rise from that point.

There should be 2 immunity challenges - one to be safe when they whittle from 4 to 3, and then the final immunity to determine who gets to choose their partner in the final 2.

I am rooting for Rupert, but I don't think he takes it. Recall that he let it slip about beating Richard at the last finale. If he was the big winner I'm sure he wouldn't have made any comments whatsoever. I also can't see giving the win to Jenna - IMHO she is the least deserving to be there in the first place, hasn't won much and annoys everyone. Between Amber and Rob, Rob did the hard work and the dirty work. I'm not sure the jury will see it that way, but he deserves it more than Amber.

EGB, as another Survivor winds down this weekend, I want to thank you for all the inside scoop and spoiler information. You have proven time and time again to have VERY reliable information. Now if you only had inside scoop on winning lottery numbers!

That was my understanding from the start as well, but didn't pretty boy say something this episode about a bigger difference between first and second this time?

I didn't get to see the whole episode so he very well could have and I missed it. No comments on the recent episode's spoiler board discussions that I saw either, but that doesn't mean anything - at the moment they're all up in arms about Jeffy taking front seat on the drive instead of letting Amber have it. Chivalry lives! (And in the oddest places.)

Why thank you! And if I had lottery number data, would I be HERE? (OK, probably. I'm funny that way.)

And as a tantalizer for NEXT Survivor - the location appears to be Vanuatu (not entirely sure I've spelled that right.) I was told Fiji which I know was scouted, but it looks like Van-whatever it is got the nod. A volcanic island with voodoo - could be interesting! Once this season is over and we're ready to move on, I'll start a discussion thread for it.

Fall, I would think - September-ish. But Amazing Race and Last Comic Standing are both coming back in June. Big Brother may be back this summer too, I haven't followed up on that one. But the month of May is going to be boring as all heck, isn't it?

It certainly will be a boring month for TV. Good thing I'm going on vacation at the end of the month.
