I'm watching that "Pillars of the Earth" miniseries on Starz, it's based on a Ken Follett book.

I don't love B&N anyway. They charge for their 'savings card'. That annoys me.

After spending a week of lunch breaks and time after the kiddos are in bed I finally finished this book. The last 30 pages or so felt really rushed, as though he realized the book was a lot bigger than he intended and hurried to finish it. And the ending leaves you hanging a bit. All in all, I loved this book for 6 days and ended up feeling robbed. Don't recommend it. frown

Just got started on Lee Child's Reacher series. Some of the violence is a little graphic for me, but I'm enjoying the characters and plotlines.

I've tried to read The Host a couple of times now but I just can't get past the first 50 pages. Everyone tells me how good it is so someday I'll make myself get through it. smile

I just received a shipment from Barnes & Noble today of MaryJanice Davidson's Queen Betsy series. I'm anxious to get reading.

It took me a while to wade through The Host, but I'm not a huge fan of space aliens/sci-fi to begin with. I only wanted to read it because Stephenie Meyer wrote it.

I also get the impression that is is really a love story, with the alien sideline that gives the plot an interesting twist.

Meow - Host starts out slow, but it is a really great book - you'll be glad you read it smile
