Here is South GA, if it wasn't ridiculously hot and humid all summer long and then some, I'd think the world was coming to an end. That said, the last 3 days, although well into the mid 90's, the humdity is low and there is a breeze and it's actually fairly plesant!

OK
Forecast here is showing highs "only" around 95-97 next week and you'd think they were calling for snow and freezing temperatures.

It has been very hot here in south Alabama. The heat index has been 106 to 110. Lightning got 2 TVs and the air conditioning unit on Sunday. So it is really hot now. Had to put 2 window units in bring in fans.

The lightning has been really bad. Mother lost her dining room light, telephone, cable box, internet and a pine tree. Her neighbor lost 2 pine trees and lightning killed his horse.

I don't think it is as hot today.

The map says I'm right here!
Thinking the electric bill for the a/c will be close to what the bill was for the heat during the winter blizzard. Gee whiz, can't I get a break?

In the Snow :)
we went from about 110/month to 300/month frown

at least we heat with wood, so our winter bill isn't high.

I just got back from a week at the Oregon Coast. Foggy and highs around 60-65, which is usual in the summer. I'm still trying to warm up! We're expecting 95-100 in the Valley this weekend, though- I may go back!

Don't rush fall, please. We actually have had the AC on for the last three days but plan to turn it back off again on Saturday after the front passes. Had plenty of rain this summer but in am or evening so we could still swim most every day. Heirloom tomatoes grew over six feet tall but then blight hit so viens are dying off. I'll have a bunch of greenies that will ripen on the tables on the deck.

The big drawback this summer has been vampire mosquitos. Have to spray myself and the dogs just to let them out. And they'll be around till the first freeze. Wish the heat tomorrow would bake their little stingers right off!

we may get some rain from the tropical depression, but the temps will not drop below 100 even with the rain...

we will have cooler temps by November though, so it's good...

yep, we're forecast for 60% chance of scattered showers all weekend 50% next week. Highs around 96 - lows around 76. Too cloudy to see the meteor shower.

All that thunder and wind yesterday and we only got about a 2 minute shower. It wasn't even enough to dampen down the dust. frown

Tonight/early morning Friday is supposed to be the peak time for seeing lots of meteors.

Way, way south.
It's been relatively mild here, in the very, very deep south.

Lightning took out my 3 garage door openers and my computer/modem/wireless router on Tuesday morning. What a pain. It could have been worse though, so I'm not going to complain too much!
