I'll send you one of Bonnie's "virtual drinks". YUM!

Since the regulators will be there, are there any questions anyone wants us to try to get answered?

Questions I would like to have answered:

#1: When are they going to take RESPA away from HUD?

At last year's RCC during the FRB Up Close & Personal session, someone stood up (Was that you David?) and said: "Please, Pleeeeese, I beg you, take RESPA away from HUD." It was a memorable moment with wide spread laughter. We waited anxiously for the possibility of a yes answer, but the FRB said they couldn't do that.

It wasn't me, but I was there cheering them on. I can keep hoping though HUD either issues guidance or gives it up.

Between the lines
Count me in. Originally thought that I would not be there until Monday, but plans change again and I will be in Sunday. I used to live in NOLA and my absolute favorite place to eat is Pascal Manales' (Garden District). The BBQ shrimp are as large as your hand and to die for---makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Reservations are a very good idea!!

David, I'll get your drink for you!

Ken, bring your examiners with you. We'll all enjoy the learning experience.

It's been nearly 20 years since I've been to NOLA. Can't wait to sample the great food again! Some of the restaurants that I remember are: Commander's Palace & Pascal's Manale (barbecued shrimp)in the Garden District, and Mosca's, which is across the river in Gretna, LA (I think).

If you've never been to the French Quarter (Bourbon St.), you have to go, at least once. Depending on your taste, you may never want to go back, but you must go once.

I'll be there too. Arriving Saturday morning. Does anyone recommend particular shows or tours? I was thinking Pete Fountain for one night, but haven't looked into it yet. First visit - and it's so short!

For those of you whose will have a spouse or friend accompanying you to New Orleans, please note that they are welcome at the BOL get-together.

P.S. Susan, Pete Fountain's show is wonderful. We have two of his CDs. There's a gravesite tour that is interesting. The horse and buggy drivers down in Jackson Square do great tours and they're so relaxing. I'd recommend quizzing people as they get off the carriages to ask them about how good their driver was. Some are "personality plus" with lots of good info. Others aren't.

Took a "gator" tour with Gray Line a couple of years ago. It was VERY exciting. Also toured one or two plantation homes with Gray Line.

I am also very jealous. I got a chance to met Mary at KC but I sure would like to meet the rest of you daily contributors. I plan to go next year. I suppose after the seminar we get to hear all of the stories from you guys, right? We expect a report.
