Does anyone have a check-off list that they use to audit loans? I'll be conducting my first audit in the lending area in a few months and am interested in any tools that you can provide that might help me out.

Thanks!

What type of audit? Compliance, safety and soundness, etc.

Anything you have would be greatly appreciated. My focus will be geared toward safety and soundness but we could use compliance check-off lists as well.

I'd also be interested in loan compliance audit checklists.

No one has shared any checkoff lists with me yet. If you have something that you are willing to share DBrk and I would apprecaite it.

Well, if you are auditing, check off lists really don't do to much in this complex world. Detailed audit programs are used by most auditors. I would start with your own regulators audit programs that are available on-line (as that is the measuring stick) and work up from there.

I like to use what my examiners use. If you're looking for QC checklists, they are often best when "home grown." As Randy says, these are complex and depend on what you offer, your workflow, and how detailed you want to get.

You may find some help in the BOL Tools, http://www.bankersonline.com/tools/tools.html#audit .
