Our wire transfer policy states that a written agreement shall be used between the bank and its corporate customers. My question is what is a corporate customer? Does it include municpalities and civic groups or only businesses?

My previous employer required an agreement if more than 3 transfers per quarter were orginated by any person or entity. So I am just curious what your bank requires.

Thanks!

My thought is that there is corporte and then there is personal. So anything that was not an individual would be corporate.

Corporate or personal? What is your agreement trying to accomplish. Are these for wires not conducted in-person? If so, corporate or personal is not the issue as your liability will remain the same. Without an agreement, the Bank could be liable for the whole wire transfer.

Thanks for the input. Some of the wires are recurring and requested by phone. Some are requested in person.
