It is the Legislation under which Truth in Lending is a part of. You can see it in print through the FDIC website by clicking here:

Perhaps you are referring to the Consumer Credit Protection Act. It's Chapter 41 of Title 15 of the United States Code.

It includes the following subchapters:
  • I - Consumer Credit Cost Disclosure (Truth in Lending; Truth in Leasing)
  • II - Restrictions on Garnishment
  • IIA - Credit Repair Organizations
  • III - Credit Reporting Agencies
  • IV - Equal Credit Opportunity
  • V - Debt Collection Practices
  • VI - Electronic Fund Transfers

Ah, the well spring legislation that created the concepts of "consumer protection" in banking and the loins from which the careers of all those assembled came.

I beg your pardon? Not sure what all that meant, but thanks for the reply.

The following is what I finally got from Kirchman so thought I would share.
