Should these be eaten with a fork or a spoon?

Peepers, there's a trend here - shoes, shirt, eating utensils - did someone actually invite you somewhere? Maybe you should be using your time making sure they are prepared for you, rather than vice versa. Might be easier!

I eat them with my mouth. But then, I'm housebroken.

I thought this thread would be about how to get the lumps out LOL I thought this was gong to be a poll about whether they should be lumpy, instant-potato smooth, or somewhere in between. Personally, I like my taters a little lumpy but my gravy smooth! (Unless it is country gravy with lumps of sausage!)

No gravy unless your mashed potatoes are bland!!
Butter, sour cream, a little salt and pepper, perhaps a little garlic......
with a fork!! lots of butter! or ham gravy or beef gravy - not turkey gravy or cream gravy

Always with a fork. (Unless you are a child or as old as Pale)
Put whatever you like on them, gravy of any type, noodles, and sometime even corn. (I know I am a little weird)

Must be an Ohio/WVA thing, we had our church's Thankgiving dinner last Sunday and I was serving my noodles, and the majority of the people wanted them on there taters.
