Must be an Ohio/WVA thing, we had our church's Thankgiving dinner last Sunday and I was serving my noodles, and the majority of the people wanted them on there taters. It's an Indiana thing, too. That's the best way to eat noodles!

Fork or spoon is noot the question. The question is how BIG a spoon! (See mashed tater recipe on the recipe thread!)

Put some grits on top of your noodles/mashed potatoes and you can just have a true starchfest.

Kernel corn on top of the mashed taters is a Michigan classic..you can even do it with peas, but not green beans!

The only appropriate uses for a spoon while at the dinner table (aside from serving spoons) are soup and soft desserts such as pudding and ice cream. Things served on the dinner plate are always eaten with a fork!

No. Not at all.
Applesauce should be eaten with a spoon; same as cranberry relish.

Applesauce doesn't belong on a dinner plate. Cranberry relish, when served with turkey, is easily eaten with a fork, along with said turkey. <---- said in my best "Miss Manners" voice.

Sorry Aggs - you have never had my cranberry relish. You're not eating it very well with a fork.
