Just started "Falling" by Christopher Pike. I was addicted to his teen/young adult bokos when I was in middle school and high school. His adult novels are pretty good too....dark.

Nothing ever again by Stephen King. I read his Gunslinger books for decades and he ended the whole series with a ridiculous book. He even had someone jumping out of a high rise in Detroit and landing in Lake Michigan. That a heckuva leap!

The Dome is pretty good by Stephen King. I agree that the Gunslinger finale was a letdown as was the IT finale.

I'm a little more than 3/4 of the way through the most recent Eileen Wilks. I would have finished it last night if I hadn't been falling asleep while reading - I was afraid of my Kindle whapping me in the face and giving me a black eye or something crazy. I've enjoyed her whole series, but I think this one is the best so far. Her writing has improved immensely as these books go on.

"Making Money" by Terry Pratchett. Totally on topic.

"Unseen Academicals" by Terry Pratchett. Next to last in the Discworld series, frown. However, I should finish the series in good time to re-read A Game of Thrones before the HBO premiere on 4/17.

I'm going to stop believing the reviews on Amazon. It seems like the more stars and good reviews a book has, the less I tend to like it. Maybe I'll just go back to depending on the buddy system.

Started "Shadowfever" by Karen Marie Moning today at lunch. This is the last in the series, and I have to say I've enjoyed these much darker books even more than her Highlanders. I haven't read any of her other stuff - I believe most of it is regular romance...maybe some historical romance.

Just finished the latest Sisterhood (Fern Michaels) book. Meh. It was OK.

Finished Kim? Gerritson's Bone Garden and started Vanished. Bone Garden was pretty good and Vanished seems like it going to be, too.

I picked up Bone Garden last night to start reading it, decided I was too tired to begin anything new, turned off the light and went to sleep. smile

ETA: I think it's "Tess" Gerritson.

My sister gave me a bag full of books from this series. I'm missing about the first 7 or 8 books. I haven't decided yet if I'm interested enough to try and track them down.

Any fellow Kindle-ites finding any good cheapies or freebies lately? I'm close to being out of new material and haven't seen anything that really catches my interest.

There is a free book called "Lena Rivers" that I downloaded on the app on my iPhone. Haven't read it yet, but it was supposedly THE book to read back in around 1916. One of the main characters was named Durward and my Dad was named after that character. Have found out that there were several around his age that were named the same way. I think it is supposed to be a romance novel of sort.

Have you tried this website? www.dailycheapreads.com
Someone here mentioned it a while back, maybe in the Kindle thread.
