Has anyone else had problems trying to submit or resubmit via web using the ffiec software? We get an error that states "the remote server has reported a problem with the transmission process". What does that mean?!

Their tech support is very responsive. I would get in touch. They have helped me in the past, including sending me a patch.

I got the same error the other day. I gave up and submitted by email and I had my Edit Report back later that afternoon via email with a PDF attachment.

I had just the opposite today. I tried to submit via e-mail, but our e-mail software encrypted the file. It was rejected as and invalid file type. I submitted via web and it went through very quickly. I got the confirmation e-mail with edit checks back within minutes.

I did not receive my edit report. The instructions after submission stated if not received by end of January to Email crahelp@frb.gov in the subject state "outstanding edit report" and include the respondent ID and agency code.

Sent the email and within 10 minutes I got my edit report.

Update. I faxed the edit report back and at 1:10 today got an e-mail saying that my submission via web was not an acceptable format. Tried to resubmit and got the remote server error. Left a message with the help line.

So are we saying that the "via web" method will not work? We've been trying all afternoon with no results. When you call HMDA HELP you get a recording that says it was last updated in 2007! And references the 2008 HMDA changes! Are you kidding me???!!! Has anyone resolved the error message? "The remote server has reported a problem with the transmission process. Please view the ERROR.LOG file or contact HMDA technical assistance..."

Can someone offer any advice? Tick-tock...
