Now, does anyone know if we HAVE to update our websites with the unique identifier of every MLO? I know we have to provide it when asked, and any time an application is taken, but I am not so sure about the website. I appreciate the help!

Look at page 44675 of the 7/28/10 issue of the Federal Register which contained the interagency final rule. There is a discussion about putting a list on your website to satisfy the requirements of ___.105(a) of the rule. There are other ways listed to satisfy this.

Yes, you submit prints and the FBI conducts the check for the Registry. It's part of the process guidance on the Registry's site.

Just for fun, I checked out a state licensed MLO to see what their listings showed. There was no confidential personal information listed for public viewing. Suggest you look up a local person in the advertisements in your community for non-bank mortgage services and do the same.
