Let's see - National Anthem was abysmal, I was embarassed. Black Eyed Peas evidently aren't a singing group - rather they are a rhyming group dressed as robots (the only thing that partially saved the half time debacle, I mean production, was Slash), commercials were below average (for a Super Bowl) - thank goodness the game was interesting. Though if the Steelers hadn't turned the ball over 3 times - who knows. At least 'America' was beautifully sung.

I wondered how much $ they paid Slash to be the sole reason legions of people didn't turn the channel during halftime?

America was beautiful I thought the Steelers did play better, but every time they started moving, they shot themselves in the foot. I'd say they lost the game, a bit more than Green Bay won.

I agree. Why did they even sing that G&R song? I can't find any reason, besides the fact that BEP samples for all their songs.

Without the three scores from turnovers, it would have been a very differnt game.
YAY Packers!
Also - I only heard them mention Jerry Jones once, and didn't hear them mention Brett Farve until after the game.
I loved the reading of the Declaration of Independence at the end of the pre-game show. I found that very touching and inspirational.

I was rooting for the Packers JJ, so I was happy with the outcome. I just think the Steelers were their own worst enemy yesterday.

Being a proud Illini, I was rooting for Mendenhall to do well (stucnk about the fumble), but couldn't root for a team led by Rothenburger. Happy about the Packer's win!

I like the Peas and felt bad for the technical problems that messed with the show. Technical problems? Defined as "we can't sing so we rely on synthesizers that don't work that well at a live show"? ...This was no where near as bad as some past half-time shows. I suppose that's accurate, but the half time show where our high school band botched eye of the tiger shouldn't really be the standard. This. Was. Awful.

Hmm, I enjoyed it for what it was... I mean, they were not the Judds, but I thought it was fun and had energy to it.
Far better than the botching of the anthem... that was sickening.

Darn, sounds like I missed a great halftime show, because I went outside to shovel.

Why not let the pop warner football teams play a "championship" game at halftime instead of wasting our lives with these continuously crappy performances. Other than the fact that no kid teams are allowed to lose anymore it would be far more entertaining.

America was beautifully sung and all the words were correct. The news report this morning suggested that Christina [according to friends and close family needs medical treatment... upset over divorce, throwing temper fits, refused to read the words to the National Anthem...it truly was embarassing]. I've heard some songs before and was told it was the BEP. I thought they were good. I'm not sure what I heard or saw last night. YUCK! That said...I will admit that I have seen and heard worse. Everyone can't be pleased all at one time... but, when can I have a turn? Agree with Ric30 The commercials weren't [as a whole] as good this year. There were a couple of funny ones...I liked the one with the child dressed up as DV...to funny when the car turned on! HA!

That was a good one Fly. Also liked the one in the pre-game with the two grizzly bears.
