Good for you, Kitten! I'm following your progress here, since I just started the same cto5k program. I'm also doing a few extra days per week, (I'm afraid that not going more than one day will put me back in the couch groove...) I also made the mistake of mentioning it, and next thing I know I have a team for the Komen Foundation 5K in May. I was terrified of running, having not broken more than a jog in 18 years, but I think I like it - and the quiet of not having two little girls screaming for 1/2 hour is just a bonus.

YAY for you CAC!!! OOO! Aren't you good doing extra days!? I'm so impressed.
Having people know and help you will add to your accountability. That's why I will continue to tell people about mine.

So, runners, let me ask you this....
Last night, as I was doing my daily treasure hunt in the cat box, I noticed that my knee looked like it now has 2 kneecaps.
I iced it for about 20 minutes and one of them seemed to go away.
This can't be normal, right?

Normal? There is normal for normal people and normal for runners! LOL Its common, but not normal. That is to say, it will happen and ice and ibuprofen are the protocol. If it continues you should investigate why. It can be as simple as a minor mistep that went unoticed or always running the same route on the same side of the street (they are crowned, so you need to alternate routes or sides or both). The wrong shoes could do it. Over training, not warming up or stretching.....blah, blah, blah. You are doing great BTW! Keep it up! Everybody is really proud of you!

I second Ice and Ibuprofen, (it's an anti-inflammatory, so it's better for swelling than Tylenol or Alleve.) Keep up the stretching, before and after, and it should go away.
Good job still going, Kitten. I had a whiny, wanna-quit moment on Saturday, (slipped on some icy sidewalk, spent the rest of the run like a trepidatious duck,) but I still got up to do it on Sunday. Proud of myself like I won the Super-bowl...

Kitt -
You've inspired me to try harder this year to get back into running. I sluffed off during the fall and winter so I've pretty much have to start all over. I even got me a new pair of shoes already to start with.
Keep up the awesome work!!!

It's been tapering off a little
I need to up my game, purchase some more cheesy poofs and look into a bottle with a sealed cap and straw so I don't have to sit up to drink
Also, combining multiple remotes into one should help improve efficiencies.
