Good Morning.
I have a HMDA reportable mortgage loan, which was denied, due to insufficient collateral. The mortgage loan was denied on November 19, 2010 and the notice mailed to the applicant on November 23, 2010. Which date is prefferable to be entered into the LAR as the Action Date?
HMDA, Getting it Right, page 13 seems to indicating either date would be correct. Does anyone have any experience with this section?
Thank you

We always use the date of the action.
btw, letting it lanquish for 4 days past the action date is not a good idea, especially if you're using the denial date to avoid doing GFE.
