I'm about half way through A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith. I cannot believe it took me so long to discover this book--it is wonderful.

I only recently read "A Tree Grows In Brooklyn" for the first time, too, and was amazed at how good it was. One of those "classics" that kind of speaks to everything there is.

A lot of the time, I find myself shying away from anything deemed to be a "classic" because I sometimes end up disappointed and saying, "What's so great about this?" But this one has not disappointed at all. It's been a nice surprise!

I am not sure if this is something that has been posted before but you can now loan your kindle books to a friend for up to 2 weeks. This may be good for people on here that want to share. Here is a link to lendle.

Finished "The Sentry" by Robert Crais over the weekend.

Started Terry Pratchett "Truckers" (Bromeliad trio, I think.)

Finished the Bromeliad trilogy (Pratchett) and have started the re-read of "A Game of Thrones" in preparation for the HBO series starting 4/17 and the new book being published 7/12.

I'm in literary limbo until the release of JR Ward's Lover Unleashed on 3/29. I guess I'll fill space with craptastic Kindle cheapies/freebies and rereads until then. Maybe it's time to drag my favorite Anita Blakes back out again....

FINALLY started Life of Pi this weekend - it's been getting pushed aside for the past couple weeks.

Definitely enjoying it so far.

EGB, Becca, HG, et al - I'm thinking you would too! That is if you haven't already read it!

I haven't, but another friend keeps telling me I need to. I may have to see if I can find it cheap somewhere.
