Thanks guys. It's a roller coaster for sure. Got good news on the dog this morning <liver and pancreas enzymes are back to normal>; however he's not absorbing protein properly. They're going to continue to work with that and take it one day at a time.

A little late to this one, but I wanted to tell you my thoughts are with you. You and your family (human and furry) sure do have a lot put upon you this week...

Gabe's bloodwork is back to normal; however he still is having diarrhea. They're gong to start yet another drug today and try feeding him. Poor little guy has barely eaten because they want to prevent any more intestinal irritation. He's starving. They are also giving him probiotics now, too.
Hopefully we can visit him tomorrow. He's been in there a week and probably thinks he's been abandoned, but the vet said the ladies are giving him a lot of attention and think he's just the sweetest thing. Well, he is.

Gabe's home and very thin. He went from 26.5 pounds to 23.5 pounds. I can feed him 1/4 of the can of dog food they provided 4 times a day - and he has two prescriptions twice a day. He's only supposed to go out on a leash; however since we have a dog door that's next to impossible and we don't want to cage him up. He did sleep the entire night by my side of the bed and this morning appeared back to 'normal' again. He was disoriented when I picked him up, but I equated that to when my aunt was elderly and had to go to the hospital.
Thanks everyone for your prayers, thoughts and kind words. He's home, but there's still more work to do and care to give.
