In #23 Country it now askes for a 2 digit code. Were do I get this 2 digit code for USA?

http://countrycode.org/ has a nice listing of all country codes. The two-digit country code for the USA is US.

Why is the new form not on the FinCEN site? I am only seeing the 2003 form.

I was looking for the new form on the FinCen site also...couldn't find it. Also, the SAR form on BOL Tools is obsolete. Anyone know a link that I can use to access the new SAR form?

This link is for the SAR form that is not accepted after September 2011.

This form is as of 3/31/11. It says that previous editions will not be accepted after 9/30/11. This form is the form for after 9/30/11.

As KB already mentioned, the form that we both linked to is the most recent. It is the earlier versions that shouldn't be used.

I just need to confirm. If we file electronically (CTRs and SARs), we do not need to be concerned with the new forms yet. Is this true?

I felt the same way too on a post I submitted a couple weeks ago on this same subject. I called FinCEN and was told to use what they have on their e-filing website and that the new form would not be released until after the 1st of the year. Makes no sense! I'm not going to worry about it until I see that they have made the change on-line.

If you are efiling, you can't do anything other than use what they make available. That is on them, not you!

The March 2011 CTR & SAR should be used by paper filers.

They are completely, totally irrelevant to electronic filers.

Aggghh!
