Hmmmmm we're having pork chops and homemade mac n cheese.... maybe I could put some salsa in the mac n cheese and call it mexican? Or, maybe I could mix it all together and put it in a tortilla? We're having shredded beef tacos tomorrow, I'll just celebrate seiz de mayo.

Sounds good but I would read the label on the envelope of taco seasoning there could be a lot of sugar in it. I went carb free a couple of year ago and ate only plants an meat. Seasoning was only from known seasoning as when I read the prepack the sugar and salt was about the roof.

last night we bbq'ed chicken on our Traeger, and halfway through slathered some pesto on each side. had it with a side salad. soo good and easy! That sounds tasty!! And, your screen name is also the name of the worst shot I have ever had! Note to self: Don't say yes if someone offers to buy me a Starry Night!

Totally agree about watching for hidden sugars. I was surprised to find it in garlic salt!

I sauted onions, garlic and shrimp in butter and olive oil with Old Bay seasoning. Then I made a white sauce and added the shrimp and leftover juices from the saute pan to it. Served it over rice with a side of asparagus. very quick and flavorful.

Same with the salsa. If it is prepackaged, there are most likely a lot of sugars.

Really?! Sugar in Garlic Salt? Haven't seen that one... Yep! I forget which brand that was, but I am sure to check the label before buying now!

They add sugar and salt and all kinds of crapp to any and every thing that they can. It's a pain to always have to check labels.
