I was just reading through the ipod/pandora lists, and it got me thinking.

It's the bands we've paid to see live that really show our musical tastes- SO...

Who have you seen in concert?

My list includes: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Reba, Def Leppard, Styx, Kansas, Hinder, Saving Abel, My Darkest Day, Manic Street Preachers, Three Doors Down, Lifehouse, Heart, The Bangles, and I've taken my daughter to see Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers, and Selena Gomez with Mitchell Musso. smile

I haven't been a concert-goer (maybe twice in my life?), but i've always wanted to see Van Morrison in concert. How was he live?

Not Hey Jee here, but Van Morrison has lost some energy and force in his voice, the guy is older than I am! But he can still sing well and play the sax too (along with a number of other instruments).

400 plus songs and counting.....

Sadly, the only band I've seen that I really, really wanted to is The Eagles. I had tickets to see Flogging Molly, but I got snowed in & didn't get to go. Other than that, my favorite bands/musicians are no longer, and most have been either dead or broken up since before my time.

Thanks Pale. Van Morrison is the most unique artist alive IMO, and maybe the most prolific. People who think "Brown Eyed Girl" when they hear his name are missing out on some great work.

Whatcha talkin' bout Ed?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

You watch your mouth now or I'm gonna have to come up there and wash it out with Deek's residue!

Actually. Yes. Lots of old 50s and 60s groups, but not back in the day, we saw them in the last 10 years.

Saw Elvis in one of his last concerts. Yeah, he was overweight, but that hadn't affected his voice. The man could SING!!!!

Almost went to jail that night. A bunch of us from the bookkeeping dept got tickets and went to see him. We got the bright idea to go down to the stage. There as a line of cops standing shoulder to shoulder. There was a really tall one in front of me, and I thought I'd just go under his legs and get closer to the stage if I got a chance. Well, either the crowd shifted or the cops shifted and I ended up in front of a female cop. She said to me, "I think you need to go back to your seat." I said, "Yes mam," and went back to my seat. So much for storming the stage! laugh Best concert I've ever been to!
