"B" - it's bolder. There were areas of "A" I liked, but I think B's bold tabs will draw attention to the important terms better than A. Can we get rid of "Annual Percentage Rate" and go with "Effective Rate", or another better descriptor?

A is much easier to follow, imho. Vertical usually is when you're talking numbers. Horizontal is for words, not numbers. A is more like a tax form that people are familiar with. You just keep following the columns down until you get to the amount due.

But they need a better term for government charges, among others.

I think it is a great first effort, certainly a step in the right direction.

Somewhere in the middle
I like A the most, but would like a combination o the two.

I like B's header. I don't like how A's got the Loan Type , prgram applicants name under the Loan Estimate heading.

Unde the "Comparisons" heading, I like the wording of B, but the style of A. So wold prefer A read, "In 5 Years....$79,993 is hte amount you will have paid, of which, $19,761 is the amount of the loan paid off."

I agree,on page two the "government Charges" is too broad.

A is easier to read but I like how B reads at the top (the info before Loan Estimate)

A seems to me to be disjointed and out of order, and not well detailed. I prefer B, even though it too needs some help.

Did you all leave a comment on the page I corrected the link above to open to?

It's our opportunity to go beyond just liking one form or the other so I encourage you to spell out your concerns. No quarantees they'll be acted on but it's like voting. You can't complain unless you make your voice heard.

Please see my post in the thread about the forms in the Financial Reform forum. I think the CFPB is randomly rotating the order of Option A and Option B.

Guess
A is much bolder and better laid out, IMHO. B tends to run together.

I thought that A was better and would be easier for the consumer to follow. As mentioned above it is more like a tax form that we are already used to looking at. I think it's easier to read down the columns instead of reading down and then over like the example in B.
