Come to think of it, wasn't there one where Homer Simpson was seated in a bar? Something about spending more time at home with the wife and kids? Or was that on another station?

the Pepsi one about Jimi Hendrix

Almost forgot that one, I personally liked it.

As a Coca Cola fan, the message I got was that Pepsi will lead you to a depraved lifestyle of sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll followed by an early-life overdose. If Mr. Hendrix had just drank Coca Cola, he'd still be with us today. (And, no he wouldn't be the accordian king of the Northwest.)

Hmmmmmmmmmmm seems like we saw a different version of the same commercial Z. (I kinda doubt that it was Pepsi that led him to his stuipid choices in life... )

Just goes to show you that the rumours are true. Pepsi does lead to harder drugs!

Okay Z, you are worse than Mr. C. (and I didn't think that was possible... ) I just inhaled my diet pepsi and exhaled it right back out of my nose... GROSS, and man, that stings!!! WARNING TO ALL: Never Drink Diet Pepsi and snort at the same time...it's painful! Hey Z, do you think I have a case against you for "pain and suffering"?

All of this snorting- how far away are we from a Hendryx end? Coke kills ...and Pepsi does too..

I took my daughter and a friend to "Return of the King" and did not really watch the Superbowl. I should turn in my Real Guy membership card!

Ya know, I was just about to tell Z, NO WISECRACKS. After reading my post, I saw that I left myself wide open for what you just said... And as for the movie, you should get the Dad of the Year Award (I gave you a ribbon, in case you didn't notice!) for taking them to the show while everyone else, myself included, was glued to the television!

I was sucessful in getting my daughter to enjoy fiction like the Hobit and Rings. I got her to get a friend to read the Hobit with her. Why is it so hard to get girls to read good stuff? These two really enjoy it. Taking them to the movie was my pleasure. When Frodo was attacked by "her" and Samwise pulls back the web, both girls let out a gasp. They thought Frodo was dead (they think he is kind of cute). I had to choke back a laugh at the reaction of the girls.

The key is finding something that they like to read, or it was for me anyway. Both my girls are avid readers. Both T-girls have been guilty of walking through the grocery store, right behind me, reading the entire time we were there!

Just be glad it's Frodo. They may grow up like me and decide Aragorn is much cuter....

In my daughter's 5th grade class, the big-time readers are all boys. (HP5 nearly required a large frame to carry, but she did it!) With a 2nd grade son as well, only one of the "truths" has proven itself: Girls go around, boys go through.

I refuse to accept that girls don't do math, that girls will lose interest in science, and that girls will only read the "light stuff". I may be over compensating, but I will not have my daughter "pigeon holed". I need to start a parenting thread- oops, I just did.

Elena - did you see the trailer for the new movie with the guy that played Aragon? I can't remember the name of it, but when it showed, my husband said, "That's the guy who played Aragorn."

It's probably "Hidalgo", which I think is based on a true story. I seem to remember that movie being advertised for a late 2003 release date, but either I remember incorrectly or the release date got pushed back. I think the actor is Viggo Mortensen. I am sure you ladies will enjoy the movie.

YEAH! As a Diet Coke head of good standing (not to mention a stockholder) - what he said.

Since a wench is "A wanton woman," would it not be best not to use that term on a bankers site?

Well, since, according to Websters it also means either a young woman or a female servant, I think I'm okay with the word. Anyone else have a problem with my new name?
