It's tentative but looks like I'll do some river rafting for a couple of days and then down to the lake for some wakeboarding and hanging out.  Aahhhhhhhh, I'm more relaxed already.  Best part is: all of this is within 2 hours from mi casa.

We are set to go on vacation in 17 days! I am so excited! We are staying at The Beach Club in Fort Morgan Alabama. I absolutely love it there! We try to go there each summer for a week. It really isn't that expensive compared to all of the ammenities - 6 pools, tennis courts, restaurant, and private beach. If you look on VRBO you can find some really good rates. It is 10 minutes from Gulf Shores/Orange Beach. Just got through with an exam and need a vacation! LOL! I will look there! Thanks!

We are going to Virginia (husband's parents live there) in July and possibly Washington DC for a few days while we are there. Should be fun!

We're going to New York City next week for three days and nights. I've never been and I'm really looking forward to it. However our favorite time is the 3 days in October that we spend in the Smokey Mountains. LOVE that place - the park is amazing.

came ohhh so close to finding a place in Gulf Shores, and my son comes home & says work is sending him to a convention the weekend we wanted to leave....ughhh....if almost the entire thing wasn't planned around him turning 21, I'd be tempted to leave him behind....so close...and yet, soooo far from a vacation...

I am not looking forward to the drive, but breaking it up into 2 days of driving is better than me trying to push all 18 hours in one shot. I got the clothes packing done this weekend but since we are renting a house there for two weeks, I need to do me menu planning and pack up the non perishable food stuffs!

First time being able to take the boys on a big vacation, oh heck yeah. It may be work for me, but it will be pure joy spending it with my babies and watching the joy in their faces!

We're thinking of retiring there in a few years - maybe. I won't be of retirement age yet, but my husband would love to volunteer at the park after he retires.

you live by the Smokies ??? I want to be your friend!! it's our most fav place on Earth..truly..we even had the most beautiful wedding setting there a few years ago...We of course, love the fall the best. We genrally go once a year, but have went twice a couple of times. But we did go this last February. We love it year round, and hope to have a place to retire there..wish I could think of a business to open that would last..
