If we can limit the maintenance capabilities for tellers to be able to just put holds on the system (no other maintenance capabilities)would that be frowned upon?? We are having a problem with when a teller wants to put a hold on an item sometimes either our maintenance person is tied up and can't get it on the system for 2 or 3 hours and by that time the customer could have gone to Walmart or the ATM and used all the funds in the account. How do other banks handle this?
