We're doing some print ads that feature customers & why they like our bank (customers signed appropriate releases).

(1) One of the ads features a customer who is also a Board member. Do we need to disclose that he's a Board member? Or, do we not need to disclose?

(2) In this same Board member ad, it mentions that the bank helped him with his financial needs, that include a mortgage loan, deposit account, HELOC, etc. Is this OK to disclose these relationships?

Thanks.

Why would you not be truthful and identify the person as a director? But consider this, how will the reader react to your ad? Will they say "of course he's a happy customer, he's a director!"

I'd rather use a non-director customer (with consents and releases) to be most effective.
