We have a teller that has disclosed she is also a realestate agent working for a realestate firm. Our conflict of interest policy states the appearance of a conflict could be deemed a conflict of interest.

I'm having a difficult time determining if the function of a teller at a bank is a conflict with a realtor working at a realestate office.

Hard to tell. Does she solicit real estate business at work? Otherwise, probably not if you have a policy that other employment has to be disclosed and she voluntarily came forward. It might depend on the professionalism of the individual. Close call though.
