What is a loan register? According to the retention schedule we have to keep them forever, but what are they?

I will pronounce MYOUNGER as Am Younger, and as MOLD (am old) will let you know that the Loan Register was a written list of the loans made each day. This was obviously pre computer.

Since I doubt you have posted anything in the career of most of your coworkers, and probably don't have a clue where the old ones are kept, it probably doesn't matter whether you keep them on the schedule or not.

If you are a HMDA lender you might want to verify that this isn't a Loan Application register before you toss it though. if it is then you will need to keep it to complete your year end HMDA report.
