Just started The Kitchen House by Kathleen Grissom. Good book. Takes place in the late 1700s on a southern plantation. Deals with slavery, indentured servants, etc.
I just ordered that from B&N!

I just finished 2 books by Lindsay Ann Kendal - Bloodlines and Torment. They were 2 of the books I wrote reviews for for a website.
They are the first 2 of a trilogy, and were actually pretty good.
I think they lean towards YA and they include supernatural beings/magic/h3ll/demons... all of which are NOT normally things I like. But, aside from the atrocious editing (or lack thereof), they kept my interest. And I might even read the 3rd one just to see how it ends.

Kindle freebie called "Blood Ties." Murder mystery set in South Dakota. Decent story, good characters, awful editing. ETA: I'm only about halfway through it at the moment so I reserve the right to change my opinion based on further reading.

I finally finished the Hunger Games books...the last two were better than the first.
Does the new BDB book come out tomorrow?

I think that Lover Unleashed is released in paperback tomorrow Jen. I see that Lover Reborn isn't scheduled for release until March 2012.

I must admit to a moment of panic when I thought I was missing something so I went to her website to make sure.

ETA: I'm only about halfway through it at the moment so I reserve the right to change my opinion based on further reading. Finished this last night. It's OK overall and pretty good for a freebie. The main character is a little bit shallow (in development, I mean) and the "tough girl with a soft heart" persona wears a tad thin. I personally could have used less descriptions of her love for smoking, and my original observation about the editing quality stands.

I'm still trying to get through the Game of Thrones series. It seems like every time I turn around they're killing off a character that I like. It's so frustrating....and yet I can hardly put them down!
