better than average "mystery cozee" because the plot involves more characters and more "red herrings": D.R. Meredith, Murder in Volume.

The highlander cheap read ended up being pretty good. smile

I need to check next week's releases. Seems like there's something coming up soon from one of the series I read, but I can't remember what.

Started listening to the last book in Stieg Larsson's trilogy, "Girl who Kicked the Hornet's Nest". Glad it is basically part 2 of the last book.

Thanks for the recommendation RR Sarah, I like the Lupi series! My library had the first two, but not the 3rd and 4th. So now I have to go on the hunt for the 3rd and 4th books! I won't read the rest of them (which my library has) until I get the 3rd and 4th read. I admit it took a little while for me to get hooked, but now I am really intersted in finishing out the series! smile

There are no good used book stores near you? What a shame! That's where I take mine. Or donate them to the library. But with my Kindle I can't recall the last time I bought a real book...

CB, I haven't been able to find any close to home/work. I am actually thinking of reselling them through Amazon. That is where I have bought most of my books anyways.

Just started the Janet Evanovich, Stephanie Plum series. I'm on book 3 out of 17. Loving them so far.

Stephanie is a bumbling bounty hunter. Good for lots of laughs though! So, after you finish Eileen Wilks' Lupi series you should read these. smile

Thanks! I will add that to my running list of recommendations!

I'm working on some of the Kitty series while I figure out how to get books 3&4 of the Lupi series. That makes 3 different series I am in the middle of!! smile

Ok guys, need some advice here. I have the Kindle app for my phone, and I got the first book of the Fever series for free. I read it, liked it, and bought the kindle version of Bloodfever, finished it this morning. I want to read the 3rd one, but I'm noticing on my phone I feel like I'm reading through them really quickly, and I just don't know if I have the same satisfaction I get when I finish a paper book. Should I get the third book on the kindle and just go with the flow, or go ahead and buy the paperback version?

I know some of you have read the Fever series, how did you like it? Do you think I'm just reading them quickly because thats the pace of the books?

I think that it is up to the individual reader Loralie. Take me for instance, after my first book on the Kindle I never looked back! I don't miss the paper book.

BTW, loved the Fever series!

Yes RR Becca! Got the new one on my nook yesterday and started reading. My favorite comment in the book so far is about Bones, someone refers to him as "Mr. Yummy Pants".

I'm about halfway through it now. Tyler, the guy who says that line, is my favorite character in this book right now. I still love Cat & gang, but he is cracking me up!

Yes RR Becca - I'm loving Tyler too, he is too funny. I've got about 70 pages left to go.

I finished it last night. I liked it better than the way the last one ended, but think it still lacked the magic of the first 3.

I finished it last night as well. And I agree Becca, I was better than the last one. Tyler was a great addition! smile I hope she keeps him around.

LOVED Spade's dispatch of the accomplice. laugh

ETA: that ranked right up there with Harry Dresden nearly being killed by a frozen turkey. grin

Reading "Armadale" - one of the 50 classics I downloaded for .99. I had never heard of it, but it's pretty good.
