CSR opened an account on the same day the customer's driver license expired. Back office is reviewing the documentation and the d/l is now expired. Any suggestionson how to handle this? Have CSR call customer to come in and bring valid ID?

Yes, I would give the customer a call and have them bring in their valid ID.

I look at this a little differently. If it expires today, it is not valid tomorrow. If it expired yesterday, it is not valid today. So, if someone brings in a license that expires today, then today is the last day the license is considered valid.

I didn't find this addressed in my state's DPS FAQs but found some opinions that were in agreement with what I've stated above. If you want a definitive answer, I would call your local DPS office just to be sure.

If it was a good license on the day they brought it in it meets CIP requirements. It is not the day that the Back Office reviews it.
