For what it's worth, I get one every year.

The only year we got the flu was the year we skipped flu shots. We're back to every year.

We don't get flu shots. Hubby had the flu in the spring, and I didn't get it.

Kids get flu shots but I have never had one.

We have almost every year, but now that my son has diabetes we will be getting one every year regardless.

I've only got one once, it was free and it was the nasal spray version. I hate shots, not going to volunteer for one.

I always get one. For two reasons...1. They're free at work. And, 2. My son has asthma and has been getting them for as long as I can remember. I'd hate to bring something home that he could catch and cause more problems with his respiratory system.

I never had one till 3 years ago, then they started giving them free at work, so i've gotten them the last three years- just got this years tuesday. however, when i no longer work here, i will probably go back to not getting them.

We get ours free at the office and I take Kid Wonder to Winn Dixie to get hers. I have asthma and really don't need the complications of Flu.

We get them at work free for self and spouse. As part of our wellness committee, I have gotten mine the past two years and will get it this year. I wouldn't get it for myself, as I don't really get sick, but this way I hopefully won't be a carrier and get others sick.

I got the flu shot three yrs ago, then I got the flu that Xmas. I am on the fence about it now.

I think it's funny when people swear the flu shot made them sick. Science says that's nto possible (at least int he sense that it gave you the flu that it was created to combat).

If you get the flu shot, you will nto get the flu strain that the shot covers. The flu shot contains DEAD virus plus anti-bodies. Onyl exception is if you get the old style shot that has a wekaened virus plus antibodies...btu dont think those are used much these days.

I never got the shot until 2007. My boss highly suggested it and I thought if I didnt get the shot and then got the flu, I'd be in trouble. Kaiser HMO gives them free--you just walk in, so thsi year will be my 4th flu shot. Not sure what's in this year's cocktail, btu last year it had two different strains plus swine flu, so it was a three-fer

It was a different strain of flu you got. Researchers have to predict what strains will be most popular months and months in advance in order to make the vaccine and have enough of it for all the shots in the fall. Sometimes they get it wrong. And sometimes you don't get the popular flu

Sometimes people mistake stomach viruses or common colds for the flu. The actual flu is an upper respiratory infection that comes with fever, aches, and extreme fatigue that can last for up to 2 weeks. Sometimes it comes with stomach issues but often it doesn't.
