Scenes for this week show Alex getting very snippy in the kitchen so I think she'll hold her own...just depends on how good her cooking can keep her in.

Anyone know the back story on Irvine? They canned him after the resume debacle but now he's one of their stars again. I'd like to know what made them eat crow, other than his obvious bankability.

I wonder sometimes if the contestants ever watch prior episodes to get a handle on the judges likes/dislikes.

I was wondering this myself.

They'd have to be ignorant *not* to... similar to people who've gone on Survivor or any other reality competition who have no idea what the competition may entail.

But, I suppose that those are the contestants at whom viewers like to collectively shake their heads in disbelief.

Wow, surprised that Chef Irvine was cut this week! I think that scared a lot of the others.

It certainly humbled them.

That pasta must have tasted terrific because it wasn't that original. The idea was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw peanuts and I'm no where near iron chef.

I was disappointed to see Robert go. He's my fav so I may not bother watching much more.

Apparently they really loved the peanut pesto but also that he could make homemade pasta that quick and under that much pressure was impressive. The first thing I thought about is there is some kind of mexican dish that uses like a peanut sauce - I think it's used on chicken.

I think that Alton really tried to make a case for Irvine. I truly think that this was another way for The Food Network to stick it to Irvine one more time.

I can't believe Chef Burrell got sent home last night! Wow, and wasn't it ironic how it worked out with her having a say in who would be in the bottom two and then it ended up with her right there with him! Like she said "karma"!
