I am being asked this question and I don't have a clue. Is there anyone that can help me with this?

Are traditional 3/1, 5/1, 7/1 libor arms considered "hybrid?"

I do not believe so.
In the late 90's, early 2000 there were things like option ARMs where interest rates could change monthly /or/ semi-annually, and in some cases the payment would be fixed with a reamoritization after a certain period of time, usually 5 years. I had heard the option ARMs referred to as hybrid.
