This is not my area at all, so forgive me if this is a basic question. Post closing we use a 3rd party to insure that coverage is maintaind. We are now being told that the bank must verify that the 3rd party not only has procedures in place, but that they are following them. Is this accurate?

Since the bank is ultimately responsible for everything "flood"...I'd say that sounds very reasonable.
