Technically this happened in 2012...

Maddox reminds me a little of Barrons from the Faefever series by Karen Marie Moning. And I love him.

Just finished The Lacuna by Barbara Kingsolver. I highly recommend it, though Prodigal Summer is (so far) my favorite Kingsolver book.

Just started A Secret Kept by Tatiana de Rosnay, author of Sarah's Key, which I loved. This one has some similarities to Sarah's Key, but I don't think that it is going to be as good.

Just started The Hunger Games over the weekend. I really didn't think I'd be interested but I'm hooked. I finished the first and have just stared the second book. They are a facinating read. They are so different that you can't put them down. Everyone was right that told me I'd really like them.

I'm not sure if it was discussed in the previous threads, but I just read Heaven is for Real over the weekend. Quick, easy read. My son read it on a vacation we took this summer and said he really enjoyed it. I liked it!

Okie- My brother got me the set for Christmas. I haven't had time to start reading. I resolve to start reading tonight... Okay how's that for a new years resolution.

I reread the first book in the Hunger Games trilogy over the holidays. It's so good. I can't wait for the movie.

I started reading it Saturday while we went to the City. My husband drove so I started reading the first book on my Kindle. Have to say that I really got hooked in wanting to always see what came next. You'll have to let me know how you like them, since we are basically starting them together.

Picked up The Cabal about a month ago, don't remember the author, one I haven't read before...have yet to crack it open. I seem to be in my "non-reading" mode. Once it ends, i'll be back to 2-3 books per week...until then, just Bicycling magazine

I've been sucked into a Merry Gentry reread. I keep trying to break out of it, but I haven't found anything else that is holding my interest right now. frown

My son read the Hunger Games series, and he is insiting that I'd like them, too. From what he has said, they sound pretty intersting, so I do plan to get to them sometime this year.

Currently, I'm finishing up The Priest's Graveyard by Ted Dekker. Not sure what I'm going to read next. Probably Beautiful Outlaw by Jon Eldredge.

My wife seems to be fond of the new Kindle she got me for Christmas, so hopefully I'll be able to "borrow it back" long enough to read something new.
