Saw it Sunday. Smaug is indeed Smaug the Magnificent. Legolas is the bomb with a bow & arrow. However Peter Jackson REALLY changed a lot of the book and I didn't particularly like that.
Peter Jackson has a cameo at the beginning and Stephen Cobert has one in Laketown - guy adjusting his eyepatch.
And no need staying after the credits. No extras.
