Does Ohio have any limitations on the dollar amount of fees that are charged for document requests (i.e., copies of statements, checks, deposits, etc) that are typically requested by lawyers for purposes of legal action, divorce, Medicaid and estate planning, etc.

I do not think that Ohio has a statute which limits what a financial institution can charge. We have a fee schedule that we provide when opening a new account. The notice also states that the fees are subject to change. The fee schedules are avaliable in our lobby. I know when we change fees we send out a new fee schedule in our statements.

We currently charge $2.00 per copy. We also have a $25.00 research fee for all subpoena requests.
