We had some leftover cuts, maybe I could put them together and then "test clean" with suggestions above and see if there are any adverse effects.

Interesting read. It discusses mostly hardwood floors, and I can see his point. Laminate is mentioned, but mostly regarding the streaking issue.

I have used the Swifter Wet Pads before, but they always streak the floor. I started using Windex, it works good & doesn't leave streaks!

I have laminate floors and I use a steam mop. My laminate is not glossy, so there are no streaks. smile Investing in a dry microfiber mop soon so I don't have to sweep before I mop.

I think in the other steam mop thread, some of us said we deal with the streaks to not have the chemicals. Streaks coudl be dust, old cleaner build=up on the floor, any residue on the pads (no fabric softener or dryer sheets on those)...
