When they get all brown and mushy, they're great for banana nut bread.
Nice and yellow with no spots and then its good with peanut butter on bread.

Bananas have a 20 minute window of opportunity for perfect ripeness. I avoid them, mostly. Which usually occurs in the interim between putting them in your grocery cart and unpacking them at home.

I like them right as the green disappears. Every bite gets a spoonful of peanut butter, then, CHOMP! next bite peanut butter, CHOMP! Ever since Magilla Gorilla I have loved bananas.

I like bananas at any point from a little green on the ends, till very ripe, but not to the point of being mushy.
My Dad waits till they are almost brown.

If I'm eating one straight, just after the green disappears.
If with PB or in oatmeal or cereal I go with a little more ripe.
And then into banana bread when they are brown.
I kind of have a hard time finding food that I don't like.

I saw a commercial for an indoor banana tree and I wanted to get it, but it came with a companion tree which I didn't want. I can understand this. One tree is no big deal. But start with two and soon there 3, then 8....next thing you know they are wearing colors and there's a drive by fruiting!!
