New one on me. Just received papers filed in bankruptcy court accusing hundreds of institutions violating automatic stay provision of bankruptcy code by processing charge backs to debtor's account.

Anyone else see this? Is chargeback against bankrupt merchant a stay violation?

I haven't seen this and I'd say a quick call to your attorney is in order.

I guess the chargeback could be considered an attempt to collect monies owed and collection attempts are stayed in the bankrupt proceedings.
