Would anyone have a good format that they like to use for documenting compliance committee meetings that you would be willing to share? Mine are always too long, so I was looking for a format that might be better. Thanks!

Ari, you may want to get the lead from your Board's secretary. Some institutions like detailed minutes to show accomplishments and issues. Others prefer very short minutes, as many times less means fewer things that could put the bank/board/committee in trouble.

As an example, with a change in Presidents at one bank, the minutes went from 15 pages to 3. At the same time, so did the minutes of all the committees.

Try using an outline type format, versus paragraphs - bullet points ar especially useful with any decisions made in bold.

I always kept a "Minutes Exhibit" file for all additional forms and information/documents that were gone over in the meeting. That way I can refer to that file and not have to go into detail or rewrite the information in the minutes.
