They used to release every May like clockwork. Ghost Story was post-poned last year until July for reasons never disclosed, and when last I checked Butcher's website there has not been a release date set for the next one.

Well at least his website has a title for the next one, which implies there will BE a next one. Let's hope he's writing away in there.

Dana Stabenow, Restless in the Grave. She's combining her 2 main series (Kate Shugak & Liam Campbell) into one book.

Just started this at lunch. I probably should have gone back and reviewed Pale Demon before I started. I've read too much in between & I'm a little lost frown

When my walk ended this morning I had just finished Chapter 11. I'm enjoying the storyline, but getting tired of Rachel being whiny and oblivious.

I'm about 60% done with A Perfect Blood. And yes, Rachel does too much boo-hooing in the first part of the book. But it is getting better.

For Maggie Stiefvater fans, Lament: The Faerie Queen's Deception (Gathering of Faerie) is on sale for 99c in the Kindle store today.

Link to Amazon website

She is also the author of a really nice YA werewolf series (Wolves of Mercy Falls) << I think she's more well-known for that than her faerie books.

A friend just loaned me "The Road" - you are right - not a happy book but I do want to see how it ends.

Has anyone read "Kite Runner"? A friend gave it to me and I haven't started it yet. Guess that will be next on my list.

Kite Runner is a great story. There was a movie made from the book a couple of years ago, too.

I tried reading the Kite Runner. I couldn't get thru it. I thought it was tedious.

The Last of the Angels, by Fadhil al-Azzawi, translated by William M. Hutchins. Amazing Iraqi novel, set in the 1980s and beyond, and eerie to read given the Afghani reaction to the burning of the Korans (Qurans). Reminded me of Shakespeare's Midsummer Night Dreams and or some sort of absurdist theatre. The phrase "All the world's a stage and men and women are merely players" kept coming into my mind. It's a difficult, slow read and well worth the time.
The novel was banned in Iraq and the author remains in exile in Europe.
