The Sovereign State Of Oklahom...

If you get a chance toss in a prayer for my mom and her surgeon. Friday morning she is having open heart to relace an atrial valve. You might say one for dad too. She suffers from a little dimentia and I think he's a bit worried. Thanks

Prayers from South Central Kentucky. FWIW - my mother had similar surgery 2 months before she turned 80. She just turned 87.

Here is an update. She is having a bit of a rough time. The surgery was much longer than anticipated due to having the triple bypass on top of the aortic valve repplacement. This caused the surgery to be 8 hours long vs 3 1/2. Long time on gas and a heart and lung machine, so she has some pump head. Mom is very diminutive (4'10" and about 98 lbs) and this has increased some of the post surgical issues for her. She still doesnt recogninze my sister or my daughters, has a fever, has some breathing issues and isnt up yet. But she is on lesser pain meds and has had some nutrition that wasnt through a tube.
I really cannot tell all of you how much all your messages and prayers mean to me and my family. Thank you all so very very much!

I'm not going to hug you, my arms wouldn't get all the way around and it would just be awkward for both of us I think.
But, I'll continue to send positive thoughts for a speedy recovery! Is your dad doing his daily push-ups at her bedside? Better make sure not to do so when the nurses are around or they'll get concerned!
