I was told at a BSA conference that FinCEN no longer issues acknowledgement letters for MSBs. Is that correct? If so, then how do we prove they are registered? Is a copy from the FinSEN website showing the customer has applied sufficient?

Is there an advisory out that announces this? We've been told in the past by our regulators that checking the MSB registration site is not enough, that we're required to have a copy of the ack in file.

The MSBs will receive an electronic receipt.

The new search mechanism is not as helpful as the old one. To search on a name, you must get it exactly right. Searching by zip code is more effective.
