...since the age of seven, I've become hateful towards all humans in general. Only because it seems so easy for people to get along and have empathy. Empathy only because I love and feel for people too much I guess. Thank you from the pit of my burning nauseous stomach for your letters and concern during the last years. I'm too much of a neurotic moody person and I don't have the passion anymore...

I think they did. Nirvana had a sound I had never heard before. I am sure there were many other bands playing music with similar sound, but they were at the forefront of grunge rock for me.

Eddie Vedder does have a fabulous voice...some of his solo work (like the Into the Wild soundtrack) is better than his Pearl Jam work...
He was slated to come to Jazz Fest this year and do an accoustic set, but apparently is still not recovered enough...I would have liked to have seen that

Read last week Vedder had to cancel some tour dates....seems he has nerve damage in his right arm from his back injury earlier this year and hasn't recovered as quickly as he thought he would. My fav of his is 'Better Days'.
