Actually, I'm not superstitious at all, and I kind of am always shocked when someone is. My sister-in-law HAS to throw salt over her shoulder and spit three times if someone accidentally spills the salt at dinner because she GENUINELY believes something bad will happen if she doesn't. I don't get that... very strange to me, but I try not to judge... I have a black cat, and I roll my eyes at my Aunt with her tons of crazy ideas (she thinks the world is over if I put shoes on the bed, and she wouldn't go to my or my nephew's baby showers - almost had a heart attack when we set up the cribs before the babies were here...) Every once in a while I'll do something like fingers crossed or a last kiss "for luck," but I'm mostly being goofy (and if it works, then Yay!)
